MICHAEL KEROPIAN SCULPTURE
ATALANTA
Atalanta symbolizes independence with the spiritual determination to move forward. The sculpture is one of four fountain compositions in a series to celebrate the New Millennium and to inspire a positive vision for the future.
The current sculpture composition is 42" x 36" x 36". However it can be enlarged or reduced to fit any site or location. Atalanta was originally created to be placed in a fountain with jets of white water surging underneath the sculpture. Another idea is to place the sculpture above a large urn with flowers or ivy covering the supports. This was accomplished when the work was exhibited in a sea of four- foot fern at the Chesterwood Museum in Stockbridge, MA. Another option available is to create a coral composition below the sculpture which would eliminate the piping used as a support. I would be happy to hear your suggestions as well.
